Trisha Jenn Loehr, professional fiction editor.
Your story is your work of art (and I bet it’s pretty darn great!). But, no matter how lovely it is already, it can probably use an editor with a fresh perspective to make sure that when readers or publishers pick it up, they can focus on the story you’re telling instead of any errors in the text or inconsistencies in the plot.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in communications (professional writing) and nearly ten years’ experience as a professional communicator. I’ve done a combination of writing and editing for businesses, non-profits, and independent authors. On top of all that, I’ve studied copyediting, proofreading, fiction writing, developmental editing, and more through continuing education courses.
I also have a little book blog where I talk about and review books that I’ve read. If you’d like to take a look, you can find it at trishajennreads.com.
I’m Canadian (we’re known for being nice, and I totally fit the bill). I’m based in Calgary, Alberta but have lived near Vancouver and in Toronto. I love the big sky, sunny days here, and being close to the Rocky Mountains to go hiking. I studied ballet for 18 years and still adore dance and theatre. I take classes or see shows whenever I can. I love to bake, but I’m not very good at it. My husband is the chef in our family, and I willingly do the dishes so he can focus on cooking tasty meals for us. I dream of having a dog join our family – for snuggles, walks, and the all-around joy that a dog can bring.
Now that you know a little bit about me, take a look at my Services page to see I can help you make your book even better than it already is.
